  • What is Your Structured Family Caregiving Program?
    The Structured Family Caregiver Waiver is a Medicaid program that allows family members to provide care for loved ones in their own homes. This type of Medicaid waiver allows caregivers to get compensated to care for a loved one with a disability or chronic illness. The waiver helps to cover the cost of caregiving, including respite care, transportation, and other necessary expenses.
  • How does a client qualify for Structured Family Caregiving?
    To qualify for care, a client must be approved for Medicaid, live with their caregiver, and need help with activities of daily living like getting dressed or eating.
  • What other care options are available?
    We have two other fantastic options available for care. Our Medicaid Attendant Care program and Medicaid PA program are two great options where a caregiver can get compensated to care for a loved one.
  • What is your Medicaid Attendant Care program?
    Our Medicaid Attendant Care program is a program under the Indiana Medicaid Aged and Disabled Waiver (A & D Waiver) that allows family members to take care of loved ones. This program is a compassionate initiative designed to empower individuals who are aged, blind, or disabled to live fulfilling lives within the comfort of their own homes. Through the Attendant Care program, eligible participants gain access to vital assistance services that cater to their specific needs, allowing them to maintain their independence and dignity.   • What is your Medicaid PA program?
    Our Medicaid PA Home Health Aide program enhances our Structured Family Caregiving initiative, enabling a caregiver to care for their loved one. Loved ones may simultaneously utilize both Structured Family Caregiving services and Medicaid PA Home Health Aide services. Our services are meticulously crafted to meet a client's needs, devised by expert practitioners to be both medically necessary and cost-effective. We maintain rigorous standards for quality and compliance, with frequent reviews of treatment plans every 60 days. Experience simplified access to care through our efficient authorization process.   • Can a parent take care of their Their Medically Complex Child under Structured Family Caregiving?
    Effective July 1st, 2024, parents will be able to provide care to their child under the Structured Family Caregiving waiver.
  • Can a parent take care of their child under Medicaid PA?
    Yes, a parent can take care of their child under our Medicaid PA program.
  • Can I have Structured Family Caregiving and Medicaid PA care at the same time?
    Yes, you can have both Structured Family Caregiving services and Medicaid PA care at the same time.

  • Structured Family Caregiving vs Attendant Care
    You have two options for taking care of your loved one. Option one is the Structured Family Caregiving program under the Medicaid A&D waiver. Under this program, you receive a daily stipend to care for your loved one. Option two is the Attendant Care program under the Medicaid A&D waiver. Under this program, you are paid an hourly rate to take care of your loved one. This program generally pays you more to provide care to your loved one. Whether it is Structured Family Caregiving or Attendant Care, we are able to assist you with both services.
  • How does a caregiver qualify to take care of a loved one?
    A caregiver can qualify to take care of a loved one if the loved one needs assistance with activities of daily living, lives in the same home, and is approved for Medicaid. If Medicaid approval is needed, we can help take the client through the process.
  • What other options are available to take care of my loved one?
    Our Medicaid Attendant Care program and our Medicaid PA program are two other great options where you or someone else can get compensated to take care of your loved one. We provide both these types of care. A client can utilize both Medicaid PA care and Structured Family Caregiving or Medicaid PA care and Medicaid Attendant Care services at the same time.

There are many Structured family Caregiving companies that are not based in Indiana, such as CareForth (based out of Boston) and FreedomCare (based out of New York).
